A new home remodelling service? A new dating website? No, ‘Rusta och matcha’ is a service from Arbetsförmedlingen that helps people start working as soon as possible by coordinating with independent actors to provide work-related training and education.

The main goal of the service is for participants to either start studying or working as soon as possible.

What Is ’Rusta och matcha’ Exactly?

When Arbetsförmedlingen deems that a job seeker should participate in this process, the job seeker chooses the place where they will study or work themselves. With the help of a supervisor, they receive individually adapted activities with the aim of getting a job or education. The activities can be contacts with employers, support in finding and applying for jobs, information on training opportunities and guidance.

‘Rusta och matcha’ grants the supervisor great freedom to design the best educational or work methods within the framework of laws and regulations. The supervisor/their company is compensated based on performance, which means that they receive higher compensation the faster applicants get into education or get a job.

Who is ’Rusta and matcha’ for?

Participants are selected with the help of a statistical assessment support. The support assesses the job seeker’s possibility to get a job or education within twelve months.

Job seekers who are eligible for the position are then divided into levels A, B and C depending on how far they are considered to be from the job market.
