At the end of June, the website of the Norwegian BankID was hit by a cyber attack that left the site down for several hours. A Russian hacker group claimed responsibility for the attack and threatened several similar attacks in the future. Cybercrime is an increasing threat to us all.

Given the unstable global geopolitical climate, these cyber attacks are becoming more common in Nordic countries, and it’s important to be as prepared as possible by ‘digitally prepping’ yourself.

The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) has urged everyone to have a crisis box at home with flashlights, cans of drinking water and other necessities. Similarly, you should also have a back-up in terms of e-identification. There are two state-approved e-IDs in Sweden and Freja is one of them.

With the highest level of security, Freja eID+, you can access critical services such as 1177 and the Swedish Tax Agency. Therefore, make sure that you and your family get Freja eID+ as soon as possible – it’s quick and easy. Should something unforeseen happen, it’s good to be on the safe side with a viable alternative.

If you have questions about security or other questions about e-identification, the Freja team is here to help you. Freja’s support is open 08-22, every day of the week. Call +46 8-38 88 58 or email support@frejaeid.com.
