The Swedish government has recently mandated that for all indoor events with more than 100 people, every person present must have a valid Covid Certificate i.e. proof that they have been vaccinated against, are negative to or have recovered from the coronavirus.

Although the situation is not as worrying in Sweden as it is in other countries across the world, the Swedish government and the Public Health Agency deem it a necessary measure to limit potential chains of infection.

Store your Covid Certificate in Freja

Ever since they were launched in Sweden on 1 July of this year, Freja users have been able to both access the Covidbevis.se to get their certificate, and to then store it in Freja.

The Covid Certificate stored in Freja is a digital card in the app, next to your digital ID card. The data that it can contain is:

  • Vaccination information;
  • Test information;
  • Recovery information.

The benefit of having it in Freja is that it is kept and displayed in a convenient digital form in a single app. This also makes it easy to share via showing or scanning.

Additionally, because you have your digital ID card in Freja, and your picture on your Covid Certificate, you can prove your identity at the same time.

How to get it in Freja

Before you can store your certificate in Freja, we need to verify your identity first with an ID document and photo.

  1. Get your Covid Certificate QR code on covidbevis.se
  2. Scan the QR code with Freja (there is a QR code scanner on the main bar)
  3. Confirm that you wish to add your Covid Certificate
  4. Done! You will see your Covid Certificate displayed in the app
