With the rise of the new Coronavirus variant across the world, countries are constantly implementing new measures to combat the spread of the epidemic.

Covid Rules in Sweden

Therefore, as of 12.01.2022 the new Covid rules in Sweden are as follows:

For public gatherings and events indoors:

  • Vaccination certificates are not required for gatherings of up to 50 people, although 1 party of people may not exceed 8;
  • Vaccination certificates are required when there are more than 50 people. Parties of people still may not exceed 8.
  • The number of people at gatherings on rented premises is reduced from 50 to 20 participants.
  • The maximum number people for events and gatherings indoors may not exceed 500.

Restaurants:

  • Pubs and restaurants with a serving permit must close by 23:00;
  • Alcohol may not be served after 22:30;
  • The maximum number of people per party is 8.

For travel:

  • Foreign citizens over the age of 12 travelling to Sweden no longer need to present a negative test taken in the previous 48 hours;
  • Covid certificates are once again required for entry into Sweden for all over the age of 18.

Fairs:

  • Vaccination certificates are now required for fairs where the number of participants exceed 50 people.
