Important Dates in 2022
May 2 – the last day to declare; if you get a tax refund and have an account registered with the Swedish Tax Agency, you will receive the tax money paid out on 8-10 June.
7 – 8 August – If you have received arrears of tax, you will receive your final tax return to your digital mailbox on 7-8 August. If you do not have a digital mailbox, you will receive the message by post no later than 20 August.
November 14 – The remaining tax must be paid and be in the Swedish Tax Agency’s account on November 14.
Valuable tips
Declare digitally with Freja eID+ – in this way a lot information is already filled in, the tax is calculated automatically and there is an immediate acknowledgment that the declaration has been submitted.
Register a bank account – only then will the tax refund be paid out automatically.
Keep track of deductions – if you have sold a home, securities or traveled a lot for work, it is worth focusing a little extra on the deductions. Renovation expenses and other costs connected to selling a home are important deductions you should not miss.
Good luck with your declaration!
