The occupational pension management service Alecta has joined our growing network of online services. Login with Freja is now possible once you complete your registration with a valid ID document. Additionally, Alecta for Swedes living abroad is also possible with Freja.
Alecta for Swedes living abroad
If you are a Swede living abroad, there is an important distinction that we need to make when it comes to your account registration: the length of time you have been living abroad. This determines whether you are still present in the Swedish Population Register (Folkbokföringsregistret).
- If you have been living outside of Sweden for fewer than 3 years, you still exist in the Swedish Population Register:
- You may register Freja eID with any of the ID documents available in the app.
- You may also get Freja eID Plus to log in to government services such as Skatteverket, Pensionsmyndigheten etc.
- Freja eID Plus is free but does require a visit to a vetting agent in Sweden.
- If you have been living outside of Sweden for more than 3 years, you are not in the Swedish Population Register:
- You may register Freja eID, but you must use your Swedish passport. Otherwise, we will not approve you.
- Additionally, you are not eligible to get Freja eID Plus.
Again, to log in to Alecta, you only need to register with any ID document (or passport for those living outside of Sweden for longer than 3 years), you don’t need Freja eID Plus.

How to log in to Alecta’s Mina Sidor with Freja
Logging in to Alecta is quick and simple, no password required. Once you are on the Alecta website and want to log in, follow these steps:
- Select Freja eID as the login method
- You will be shown a QR code on the screen
- Open the Freja eID app
- Select ‘Scan’ from the menu at the bottom of Freja eID
- Scan the QR code with the scanner
- Approve the login action in the Freja eID app
