We are glad to announce that Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven have come on-board with Freja and are now accepting Freja as a physical ID in all stores. Use Freja to prove your identity and age when purchasing age-restricted products at Pressbyrån and 7-Eleven.
We are constantly working on bringing more services into Freja to increase its value to you as a user. Keep reading to see how to identify yourself with Freja, and learn where else you can use Freja instead of your ID document.
How to Use Freja for Identification
You can prove your identity and age by showing the digital ID card in Freja that becomes visible after we verify your identity. When you need to identify yourself:
- Tap the digital ID card to open it;
- Approve with your PIN or biometrics;
- Show the screen to the staff in the store to prove your identity;
- The staff may ask you to allow them to scan your QR code.
You may also be asked to tap the screen to activate animations and sound to prove that the screen is authentic and prevent fraud. Another security measure is that the QR code with your data expires after 2 minutes and needs to be reloaded after it expires in order for you to share data from it.
Where Else Can I Use Freja?
You can use Freja as your physical ID at more than 5000 locations across Sweden, including:
- PostNord when picking up packages
- Almost all major pharmacies in Sweden including: Apoteksgruppen, Kronans Apotek, Apotek Hjärtat etc.
- All Direkten stores
- ATG
You can also use Freja for logging in to hundreds of e-services too!
