Getting Freja eID+ means having a government-approved e-ID that you can use to access several hundred public and private e-services in Sweden.

With just a quick visit to one of our agents you will be upgraded to Freja eID+ and have the highest level of security available in Freja.

Freja eID+ is completely free and all it requires is for you to register with your passport or national ID.

For users with a Swedish drivers license or an ID card from the Swedish Tax Authority you can also register, but then you need to make a visit at one of our 2000 agents throughout Sweden for a physical vetting.

The Benefits of Freja eID+

Freja eID+ is the highest level of security available in Freja. By getting it, the full functionality of the app will be at your disposal.

Almost all public authorities in Sweden require Freja eID+, so getting it will allow you to access them quickly and safely.

Bear in mind that due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and Sweden joining NATO, cyberattacks are on the rise in Sweden. Should there be a massive cyberattack on Swedish IT infrastructure, having a government-approved e-ID to access public e-services is the smart thing to do.

Additionally, Freja eID+ comes with a free ID protection that alerts you whenever there is an unauthorised change in your officially registered address in SPAR. This is usually how fraudsters hijack your ID to take loans out in your name. The ID protection in Freja will alert you of this activity giving you time to react and protect yourself.

All of this is completely free and easy to get!

How to Get Freja eID+

You can get Freja eID+ after your identity is confirmed with your ID document and photo. If you register with a Swedish drivers license or Tax ID you will also need to visit the nearest Freja agent so that you can complete the physical meeting required for Freja eID+.

Who Can Get Freja eID+

To get Freja+ you need to have a Swedish personnummer or a verified Swedish coordination-number.

The process for getting Freja+ with a coordination-number is slightly different. You register with your native passport and we will send a PIN envelope to the address you have registered in SPAR. When you enter the PIN in Freja, your Freja+ will be activated.

We have prepared a detailed registration guide that will guide you through the entire process.
