Freja eID+ is the highest level of security available in Freja. By getting it, the full functionality of the app will be at your disposal.
Almost all public authorities in Sweden require Freja eID+, so getting it will allow you to access them quickly and safely.
Bear in mind that due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and Sweden joining NATO, cyberattacks are on the rise in Sweden. Should there be a massive cyberattack on Swedish IT infrastructure, having a government-approved e-ID to access public e-services is the smart thing to do.
Additionally, Freja eID+ comes with a free ID protection that alerts you whenever there is an unauthorised change in your officially registered address in SPAR. How to Get Freja eID+
You can get Freja eID+ after your identity is confirmed with your ID document and photo. There will be an action in the Freja app guiding you to the nearest Freja agent so that you can complete the physical meeting required for Freja eID+.
Why the Physical Meeting Is Required
Since Freja is a government-approved e-ID, that means that it must comply to Swedish laws and regulations concerning electronic identities.
In order for you to have the highest level of security in Freja, we must establish a link between you and your e-ID in the physical world. That is what the meeting is for. It takes less than a minute, and all that you need to bring is your ID document and Freja.
Who Can Get Freja eID+
While most people in Sweden can get an e-ID, there are still those who have difficulties including people with protected identities, with a coordination number instead of a regular personnummer, and Swedes living abroad.
