From 6 March your digital ID card in Freja will be getting a new look.
This update brings a fresh new design, improved security, and a better user experience for when you’re proving your identity at more than 10000 locations across Sweden.
A Look at What Is Coming
We’ve always been excited to present you with updates to the ID card in Freja. It’s undoubtedly one of our favorite features in Freja and we believe that it’s the future of physical identification.
Design Improvements
All of the crucial information needed for identification is now grouped in the lower section of the screen. The contrast on the screen has also been increased to make it easier to scan for quicker identification.
Now it is much easier to determine the session time and the validity of the ID card in general, though that brings us to the security improvements that are coming in this update.
Security Improvements
Security has always been the core of what we do, so why would this feature be any different?
The increased number of people using our digital ID card, and the growing number of partners accepting it as a valid ID document is proof that we are on the right track and we want to keep it that way.
Improved liveness – the animations and sounds that play when you interact with the screen to prove its authenticity have been improved. Additionally, there is a subtle animation even when you are not interacting with the screen.
Real date and time – the current date and time is now always displayed on your ID card.
Security portal – our partners may use our kontroll.frejaeid.com portal to check the validity of your ID card
