This year’s summer holidays are approaching and now is the time to make sure that everyone in the family has a valid passport and that you are well prepared for the trip.

Remember that some countries require the passport to be valid for a certain period of time after entry. You should find out what applies in the country you are going to.

Contact the embassy or consulate of the country in question. In some cases, the travel agency can provide information. It is your responsibility as a traveler to find out information about your trip.

Book an Appointment for a New Passport with the Police

Last year, the Police Authority introduced changes that mean that anyone who wants to book an appointment for applying for a passport or national ID card must identify themselves with the help of an e-identification such as Freja.

Here you can book your appointment with the help of Freja.

Quick Facts about Freja+

What is it? Freja+ is the highest level of security in Freja, required to access most government e-services such as 1177.se, Skatteverket etc.

How do I get it? Add your ID and photo to Freja, then visit one of our agents for a quick security check.

Where can I find a Freja agent? There are 2000 agents throughout Sweden, find the closest one through the Freja app.

Why do I need to do this? The physical check is required by the government as a final security check before you can access government e-services.
