With more and more people using Freja on a regular basis, we’ve got some interesting insights into how and why people are using Freja. Check it and see if others are using Freja for something that you didn’t think of.

7. Getting Discounts through Refunder

Refunder is a platform for shopping online with which you earn money as you shop. It’s as amazing as it sounds, and it works by Refunder sharing a part of their commission with you.

There are more than 1000 online stores with daily offers, and lots of Freja users are logging in with Freja and saving money with Freja and Refunder.

6. Helping Others with Shared Control

Shared Control is a feature in Freja that allows people to link their Freja accounts, with one person acting as an assistant to the other.

It’s intended to help people who are insecure or incapable of using an e-ID independently, and we’re extremely proud to offer our users this possibility.

5. Logging in to Government E-services

Government e-services have always been a popular use case with Freja, as Freja+ is a viable option for logging in to 1177.se, Skatteverket, Transportstyrelsen etc. for all of their available e-services.

One particular use case that has been growing in popularity is booking a time slot with the Police for getting new ID documents e.g. passports.

4. Have Freja as an Alternative to BankID

Since both Freja and BankID are government-approved e-IDs in Sweden, they offer the most possibilities for identification and access to critical e-services in Sweden.

Although BankID is more widely used than Freja, more and more people are realising that Freja is a viable alternative to BankID.

Take a look at our blogpost detailing the differences between Freja and BankID.

3. Using the Organisation ID in Freja for Work

A significant number of our users are being issued an Organisation ID by their employer so that they don’t have to use their personal e-ID for work-related duties.

The Organisation ID in Freja completely separates your private from your work e-ID, allowing you to identify yourself as a representative of your organisation/company, not as a private individual.

2. Overall Convenience

For many people it’s just more convenient to use Freja for all of their identification needs, whether it’s logging in to e-services or identifying themselves physically.

The registration process for getting Freja is smooth and user-friendly. Most of it can be completed digitally as well, so you can get Freja from the comfort of your home.

1. Avoiding Carrying around Plastic Cards

Most people have already switched to paying with their phones, and now they are using the digital ID card in Freja for identification. In this way, there is almost no need to carry your wallet around with you.

The digital ID card in Freja is accepted at thousands of locations across Sweden for proving your identity and age, picking up packages, getting prescription medicine etc.

You can find the list of official locations in the Freja app in ‘Explore’.
